TL;DR The coronavirus pandemic has done a number on our mental health. We have to support each other through this.

Back in the day, not many of us bothered about good mental health because we had assumed it to be so. But when we’re stalked by fear and uncertainty by the pandemic for over a year, everything changes.

There is enormous stress, strain, and anxiety.

We worry about our health, our loved ones, and how they’ll cope if they get sick. We lose sleep over work, more so the lack of it. We feel increased loneliness and isolation only for following the rules.

At the rate we’re going, we can’t afford to wait until COVID is over or at least under control before we start dealing with the massive and increasing toll on our mental health. Easier said than done, but we can actively find ways to keep positive and cope with negative feelings of anxiety, uncertainty, loneliness, isolation and fear of getting sick.

So how can we do it?

Dr. Joan Mae Perez-Rifareal, a psychiatrist, and our friends at Insular Health Care join InLife Sheroes in tackling this issue head on this June 17, 2021 at 10:00 AM. This FREE webinar called “Being Optimistic in a COVID-19 Pandemic” couldn’t have come at a better time.
